Our Story
FixMyPDF started with a frustration most of us have shared: needing to convert, merge, or compress a PDF in a hurry, only to land on a website plastered with paywalls, locked features, or surprise watermarks on the output. We thought document tools should be simpler — and free.
In 2024, our team began building FixMyPDF as a focused alternative: a single hub where the everyday PDF jobs — Word to PDF, PDF compression, page splitting, image-to-PDF, merging, and dozens more — work cleanly, with no hidden fees, no forced sign-ups, and no quality loss on the output.
Today, FixMyPDF offers more than 100 individual tools covering virtually every PDF workflow a student, teacher, freelancer, accountant, or small business owner might need. We're not the biggest PDF site online, and we don't want to be. We want to be the most trustworthy and the easiest to use.

FixMyPDF is built and maintained by a small remote team that cares deeply about document workflows. We come from backgrounds in software engineering, design, and customer support — and most of us have been on the receiving end of bad PDF tools enough times to know what frustration looks like.

We're committed to transparency about our business model. FixMyPDF is supported by display advertising (primarily Google AdSense) shown around — never inside — the tool experience. We don't sell your data, we don't monetize uploaded files, and we don't lock features behind a paywall.
